I am Euterpe, muse of music– I constantly come up with new ideas (which aren’t very useful, and which flee my head immediately anyway) and am happy when everyone else is happy (especially the 6-month-old). I guess it’s no surprise that I’M not an academic muse. But being any kind of muse is something, right? And I’d certainly rather sing a Schubert offertorium than look at engravings of full-term uterus dissections . . . .
