I’m finally catching up on your blog– nothing witty to contribute yet, of course, but I thought you might like to know that I have a “midland” accent. That apparently means that I have no accent, and that I have a good voice for TV. (It also means that I might have come from Pennsylvania. Ha!) How can I explain this diagnosis to those who continue to ask me where my “accent” is from??? Never mind that this test is obviously heinously flawed, since they think you come from the Great Lakes . . . .
