Wow! What else can you say to that? Hillary and Barrack used to play on the same team. At this point Hillary plays on his team. I'm sure that comment won't be repeated frequently, because the mainstream press won't care and the right cares about science less than Obama...but that is harsh! Frankly, I supported Hillary and I would hope that someday we will get someone in who would "use" science and scientists for their intended purpose...not simply to support their "side."

Don't put down the humanities. It's comparing two different things.
How many people can write beautiful passages about human beings found in the study of humanities? In humanities we learn about brilliant writers and thinkers, the art of the language. It require a different intellectual muscle.
So don't say "slipper slope to the - gasp - humanities?". It's not right to compare hard science to humanities.

I once had a dog that passed the mirror test (as far as I'm concerned). Until he was full grown, the mirror on my dresser agitated him when he would sleep on my bed at night, and he would bark or growl at it until he was sure the "other" dog wasn't going to come any closer. Then, one day I had to pull the dresser out to repaint the wall. This new, if temporary, arrangement upset him, so I carried him over and we observed ourselves in the mirror for a minute. Then, we went behind the dresser, and he was clearly shocked to not find another dog and person standing there. After that, he watched my reflection when I spoke to him (on more than one occasion), and he stopped barking at the mirror at night.

I'm majoring in Chemistry and am thinking of dropping Biology simple because it's too hard for me. I can't seem to sit down and memorize a bunch of terms and structures, it's just not me as a person.
Sometimes people look at my major in awe, but I find Biology majors amazing. They hold all that info. in the heads and keep it. Kudos to them.
